Does this sound like your life?

Every one of these is something owners with reactive dogs tell me. See how many land.

You plan every walk around avoiding other dogs, checking ahead before you even leave the house

You've started walking at 5am or after dark just to get some peace. You're exhausted.

You drive to an empty field instead of walking from your front door because the streets feel impossible

You can't have anyone over without locking the dog away first. It's becoming isolating.

You've stopped going to cafes, pubs or family events with your dog. It's just not worth the stress.

Your partner is losing patience, or you're both disagreeing about what to do next

You've tried other trainers, watched every YouTube video, bought every piece of kit. Nothing has stuck.

You love your dog more than anything. But the stress is quietly grinding you down.

If you nodded along to more than a few of those, you're exactly who this programme is built for. And you don't have to keep living like this.

The difference

Where you are.
Where you could be.

Eight weeks of real, focused work changes everything. Here's what that actually looks like.

Wasting months of your life
Dreading every single walk, scanning the street before you even step outside
The embarrassment and judgment every time your dog kicks off in public
Method after method, trainer after trainer, nothing that actually lasts
Feeling isolated because your dog's behaviour is running your life
The quiet worry in the back of your mind that this might never change
The 8-week result
Walking your dog on a loose lead, without planning your route around other dogs
Passing dogs and people without a reaction, on paths, at the door, in the street
Letting visitors into your home without the house erupting
Enjoying cafes, pubs, camping trips and family gatherings with your dog beside you
Trusting your dog off-lead in the places you've been avoiding for months
Having the dog you always dreamed of owning
What's included

What you actually get

Not a group class. Not generic advice. Eight weeks of focused work built entirely around you and your dog.

01

A proper assessment

Before anything else, I come to you. I meet your dog, see the behaviour first-hand and build a clear picture of exactly what we're dealing with. Reactivity is never one-size-fits-all.

02

A plan for your dog

Built around what your dog specifically reacts to, how they react, and what actually motivates them. Not copied from another dog's programme. Yours, from scratch.

03

Real world sessions

We train in your home and out in your local streets and parks. Not a sterile training hall. Where the problem actually exists is where we fix it.

04

Weekly homework

Clear, specific exercises every day between sessions. You'll always know exactly what to do and why. Progress doesn't stop when I leave.

05

Online support

Direct access to me for the full 8 weeks. Questions, video check-ins, troubleshooting. If something isn't clicking, you don't have to wait until next session.

06

Skills that last

The goal isn't improvement that fades a few weeks later. It's teaching you how to handle your dog properly, for good, so the change holds long after we're done.

The process

Simple from start
to finish.

Four steps. No confusion. No wasted time.

01

Free call

We talk through what's going on. No obligation. Just an honest chat about your dog and whether I can help.

02

Assessment

I come to you. I meet your dog, see the issues first-hand and build a plan around what's actually happening.

03

8 weeks

In-home and real world sessions, daily homework and online support throughout. Every step of the way.

04

Real change

Walks you look forward to. A dog you can take anywhere. Skills that hold up where it matters.

Meet the trainer

Hi, I'm Lucas.

I'm not going to give you a long list of qualifications. What I'll tell you is that I've spent years working with dogs in every setting imaginable, and I chose to specialise in reactivity because it's where I can make the biggest difference.

I know what it's like to be on the other end of a reactive dog's lead. I've felt the stress, the embarrassment, the constant planning and avoiding. And I know that with the right approach, it doesn't have to stay that way.

Everything I do is 1-to-1, in your home and out in your local environments. No group sessions. No generic plans. Just honest, practical work that gets results.

And this is Nyx.

My 8-month-old GSD x Malinois.
She was reactive too.

Nyx came to me as a rescue. A mess on the lead, reactive to everything, unpredictable in public. The kind of dog people shake their heads at.

I won't pretend it was simple. She challenged me every single day. But I applied everything I know, stayed consistent, and the transformation has been genuinely unbelievable. She's calm, focused, and a joy to take anywhere.

She's not just my dog. She's proof that even the most reactive dogs can change completely with the right approach. Follow the journey on Instagram and see for yourself.

Be honest with yourself

Is this for you?

I want this to work as much as you do. But it only works if you're the right person for it.

You're in the right place if...
Your dog reacts to other dogs, people or specific triggers
You're ready to put in real daily work, not just show up for sessions
You've tried other things and you're genuinely open to doing it differently
You want to actually understand your dog, not just manage them forever
Any breed, any age, any background
This probably isn't for you if...
You want a quick fix that doesn't ask anything of you
You're not willing to change how you handle your dog day to day
You expect me to fix the dog without your involvement
You're not open to honest feedback, even when it's hard to hear
Don't just take my word for it

What owners say

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Google Review

“We recently got ourselves a puppy and as first time dog owners, we had the very best of intentions. We met Lucas by chance and instantly found him to be clearly passionate and friendly to both us and the pup. We signed up to the 8-week programme and we have not looked back since. We now have markers in place for both good and undesirable behaviours, as well as the ability to walk off lead due to his recall being spot on. He was regularly in touch via online support which included videos and moral support when something was not quite working. I would recommend the Northern Canine to anyone that wants to get a solid start on puppy training.”

Before you ask about price

How much is this
already costing you?

The programme price is discussed on the free call. But before you get there, it's worth asking yourself a few questions first.

How much have you spent on previous trainers?

Group classes, 1-to-1 sessions, behaviour consultations that went nowhere. Add it up. For most people it's more than they'd like to admit, and none of it fixed the problem long-term.

How much on equipment?

Different harnesses, leads, head collars, calming sprays, anxiety supplements. Every product that promised to fix it and didn't. That money didn't come back either.

How many days have you got up at the crack of dawn to avoid triggers?

Early mornings, late nights, skipped plans, rerouted walks. Your dog's reactivity has been running your life for a while now. That's a cost too, even if it doesn't show up in your bank account.

What's the alternative?

Another year of managing it. Another year of early mornings, avoidance and stress. Or 8 weeks of proper work and coming out the other side with a dog you can actually enjoy. That's the choice.

We talk about price on the free call. I want to understand your situation first. Book yours here.

Common questions

Things people ask

Can reactivity actually be fixed?
+
In most cases, yes, significantly. It rarely disappears completely overnight and I won't tell you it will. But what we're building is a dog that can cope, that has real tools, and that you can handle in everyday situations. Most owners see a big shift within the 8 weeks. Some see near-complete change. Depends on the dog, their history, and how consistently the work gets done.
My dog is really bad. Is it too late?
+
Almost certainly not. Dogs that get written off as beyond help are usually just misunderstood or have never had proper, consistent guidance. I've worked with dogs other trainers gave up on. Book a call and I'll give you a straight answer about your dog specifically.
What breeds do you work with?
+
All of them. I have a particular feel for high-drive breeds like Malinois and GSDs because I own one. But reactivity shows up in every breed and every age, and I can help with all of it.
Where do sessions take place?
+
In your home and out in your local environments. Your streets, your parks, the routes you actually use. Not a training hall miles from where the real problem exists. We work where the change needs to happen.
Do I have to do work between sessions?
+
Yes, and I won't apologise for that. The sessions teach you what to do. The daily work between them is where the actual change happens. You'll always have clear exercises and online support if you get stuck. But the work is non-negotiable.
How much does it cost?
+
We go through that on the free call. I want to understand your situation properly before any numbers come up. What I can tell you is that most people who've already spent money on things that didn't work find this is the most useful money they've spent on their dog.
