I have spent years working with dogs in different corners of the industry, from kennels to pet retail, building up a genuine, hands-on understanding of how dogs think, what they need, and why so many owners struggle despite trying their best.
I started The Northern Canine because I kept seeing the same thing, owners overwhelmed by conflicting advice, dogs that were capable of so much more, and a real gap between what generic training offers and what actually works in real life.
Everything I do is one-to-one, in your home, built entirely around you and your dog. Your consistency is the most important ingredient and I am here to make sure you always know exactly what to do and why.

The Northern CanineNyx is a German Shepherd crossed with a Belgian Malinois puppy, and taking her on as a rescue was genuinely the best decision I have ever made.
She is incredibly smart, seriously drivey, and absolutely loves to play. Everything a Malinois cross should be, intense, switched-on, and completely exhausting in the best possible way.
She is also living proof that high-drive, demanding breeds can become incredible companions with the right approach, the right consistency, and the right person in their corner.
Before Nyx, there was Max. If you have followed the socials you will already know him. Max belongs to a close friend and over time I became the person she turned to when she needed someone to look after him.
What started as helping out became one of the most valuable parts of my development as a trainer. Max gave me real, hands-on experience with a high-drive breed in a real home environment, and a lot of what I know today was shaped by time spent with him.
He is the OG. The one who started it all before Nyx came along and turned everything up a notch.
