Can reactivity actually be fixed?
+
In most cases, yes, significantly. I won't tell you it disappears overnight, because that's not honest. But what we're building is a dog that can cope, that has real tools, and that you can handle in everyday situations. Most owners see a big shift within the 8 weeks. Some see near-complete change. It depends on the dog, their history, and how consistently the work gets done.
My dog is really bad. Is it too late?
+
Almost certainly not. Dogs that get written off as beyond help are usually just misunderstood or have never had proper, consistent guidance. I've worked with dogs other trainers gave up on. Book a call and I'll give you a straight answer about your specific dog, not a generic one.
My dog is reactive to other dogs. Can you help with that?
+
Yes, that's the most common thing I work with. Whether it's dogs on the lead, dogs at a distance, or dogs at the front door, it all starts with understanding what's driving the reaction and building the right response from there.
My dog is reactive to people, not dogs. Is that different?
+
Different trigger, same approach. I assess what's actually going on, what's driving the reaction, and build a programme around that. Human reactivity is something I work with regularly and the results are just as strong.
What does the 8-week programme involve?
+
An assessment first so I understand your dog properly. Then a plan built specifically around them. In-home and real world sessions across the 8 weeks, weekly homework, and online support throughout. Not a template, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Your dog, built from scratch.
Where do sessions take place?
+
In your home and out in your local environments. Your streets, your parks, the routes you actually walk. Not a training hall miles from where the real problem exists. We work where the change needs to happen and where it actually has to hold.
Do I have to do work between sessions?
+
Yes, and I won't apologise for that. The sessions teach you what to do. The daily work between them is where the actual change happens. You'll always have clear exercises and online support if you get stuck. But the work is non-negotiable. If you're not willing to do it consistently, this programme isn't for you.
What breeds and ages do you work with?
+
All breeds, all ages. I have a particular feel for high-drive breeds like Malinois and GSDs because I own one and understand what they actually need. But reactivity shows up in every breed and I can help with all of it. Age is rarely a barrier.
We go through that on the free call once I understand your dog and what the programme looks like for you. Before you ask the price, though, it's worth asking how much you've already spent on trainers, equipment and products that didn't work. Most people find this is the most useful money they've spent on their dog.
Lancashire. I cover the surrounding North West area. Get in touch to check if I travel to you.
Book a free call through the link on this page. We'll talk about your dog, what's going on, and whether the programme is the right fit. No commitment, no pressure. Just a straightforward conversation.
What training methods do you use?
+
A balanced, practical approach built on clear communication and real structure. I adapt to the dog in front of me, not a rigid method that gets applied the same way regardless of what's actually happening. What matters is what works for your dog.
Is this just training the dog, or are you training me too?
+
Both. But honestly, mainly you. Your dog can't apply what they learn without you knowing how to handle them. I coach you so that you understand what you're doing and why, and so the change holds long after we're done.
